I'm so glad the antibiotics finally worked Liz and got rid of the infection.
Good luck for your op, I'll keep everything crossed for you.

Wanted to tell you how jean is,
The knee part seems to be settling post surgery
She has no knee and we were hoping she'd have a new one in there

Then she's gone and got an ulcer on the leg as my guess is she wasn't moving it for some time before the knee got so bad she went to hosp

It's agony

Poor jean

So she's got to heal up more before they'll replace the knee I guess

She's such a lovely lady, it's rotten that this has all happened so quickly.

I've spoken to Steve this morning, Jean is bearing up but obviously getting fed up with being stuck in there!
The ulcer is healing and the antibiotics are working on the infection but they still have no idea how long she will be in. When the infection has completely cleared they are going to move her to Wrightington hospital to have the replacement but of course they can't say when that will be.
We went to see her a couple of weeks ago, and Lyn went this last weekend, it was great to see her.

Love Doreen xx

Not been around much lately with having grandchildren here (recently returned back to Gibraltar). Have been doing alot of catching up.

Please send my love to Jean and hope she is soon on the mend and back at home. I have had the pleasure of meeting Jean at three of the get togethers and she really is such a lovely, lovely lady. Terrible to read that she is going through all of this.

Sending her a big ((((((HUG)))))).

Get better soon wishes too!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all, have been thinking about Jean and wondering if anyone has any recent news on how she is doing.
The forrum does not seem the same without her possitively cheery comments, hope she is making steady progress.
If anyone is in contact please pass on my best wishes and tell her I'm thinking of her.
Zena xxx.

Jean is HOME, I'm delighted to tell you!
She's got to go back into hospital in a few months for more surgery to pop in a new knee but she's HOME

Just so pleased for her and the family x
